Product Overview
The Carpet Burning Performance Tester is a specialized safety testing instrument designed to evaluate the burn performance of carpets, focusing on verifying their compliance with flammability and flame retardancy standards. By simulating real-world scenarios where carpets may come into contact with small flames, this device helps identify potential fire hazards—making it an indispensable tool for carpet manufacturers, retailers, and safety inspectors.
Equipped with functions including Carpet Fibre Burn Tests, ATR Carpet Cleaning compatibility testing, and Carpet Glow Burning evaluation, this tester enables comprehensive assessment of carpet fire safety.

Functions & Testing Methods
This tester evaluates carpet flammability and flame retardancy when exposed to small flames, utilizing two standardized testing methods to simulate diverse real-world ignition scenarios:
Hot Metal Nut Method: Replicates the heat transfer ignition risk from small, hot metal objects contacting carpets;
Hexamethylenetetramine Pill Method: Simulates ignition from small, smoldering combustible materials (e.g., embers) interacting with carpet fibers.
These methods enable targeted assessment of carpet fire performance, ensuring comprehensive coverage of common ignition hazards.

Scope of application
Carpet Burn Tester is suitable for testing the flammability and flame retardancy of carpets when subjected to small flames.
